Ja, ja - Der dritte mann
In this piece, Martin and his father are the main protagonists. Martin sees the father-son relationship as a "constellation" that has changed a lot during recent years due to changes of gender roles in the work place, family and society as a whole. Repeater approaches this relationship by looking at the bodies of the two men, dealing with their different movement possibilities and respective physical limitations. In this performance, the chronological principle of time is reversed. It is no longer a question of the son repeating the behaviour of the father, but rather can the father repeat the behaviour of his son? Can the father imitate, learn and repeat his son's movement patterns and improvisation scores? This questions the very notion of time as an ordered line of events.
